Although China has abundant forest resources, the per capita share is lower than world’s average levels. There are many problems in timber resources supply all the year round, such as unbalanced supply and demands, largely depending on foreign import, low quality in timbers.

In addition, due to the booming development of real estate market, the increase of family home-purchase demands drives the demands of household articles which also gradually increases the demands of timber resources.

Under the background of timber resources supply and demand problems, as a program that can both satisfy people’s use demands and relief the supply and demand gap of timber resources, the comprehensive development and use of non-wood based board are being vigorously promoted by government.
